Sowvital Leans Into The Power of Embossing

Sowvital Leans Into The Power of Embossing

Blind embossing without ink dates back to 15th-century bookbinding, but right now we’re seeing it pop up again and again in premium home fragrance. Sowvital’s scented candle range by Leslie David Studio features a box that’s a warm off-white with every decorative element embossed with no color.

The scent names are set in a refined serif balanced with the simple, sans-serif logo, creating a quiet typographic contrast between old and new. A small, dark green botanical monogram is at the bottom of each box, and, as the only colored graphical element, it stands out despite its simplicity. This box is elegant and refined but somehow still feels approachable. It’s quiet luxury meets approachability.

Plus, there’s nothing more that I want my house to smell like in the summer than a tomato leaf or a rose garden. One of each, please.
