There’s really nothing more joyful than bakery and celebration brand packaging, and Cake Social, designed by Affogato, while a conceptual design, is no exception. It’s delightful down to its core. Each collectible tin is designed to mimic a beautifully decorated celebration cake viewed from above, with the lid featuring piped frosting swirls, dot borders, and ornamental details, all translated into a flat graphic system that feels both maximalist and intentional.
The color palette shifts across the range, each colorway evoking a different occasion, but the graphic system ties them together as an unmistakable family. The CAKE SOCIAL wordmark wraps the sides of each tin in a slightly decorative serif that feels like a fairground sign crossed with a vintage confectionery brand, warm and celebratory without ever tipping into kitsch. These tins almost arrive as keepsakes first, with packaging second, and that’s a shift I’d love to see everywhere.
