Felix Schoeller to launch Competence Center in Turkey and Middle East 


Speciality paper manufacturer Felix Schoeller has revealed plans to open a new Competence Center in Turkey and the Middle East. 

Located in Istanbul, the new service and consulting hub will commence operation on 1 January 2025.  

The new facility will enable the company to offer its full range of services for its premium speciality papers directly to customers in the two regions. 

The announcement was made ahead of the Intermob trade fair in Istanbul, highlighting the company’s commitment to strengthening its 35-year-long business relationships in the area.  

The Istanbul service and consulting hub aims to provide tailored support to regional customers, enhancing their access to Felix Schoeller’s innovative solutions. 

Felix Schoeller CSO Matthias Breimhorst said: “Our customers in Turkey and the Middle East benefit from our global production network, including joint ventures in China and India. Combined with our expertise, this forms the foundation for solutions that are both forward-thinking and practical. Previously, the company’s presence in the Turkish decor paper market was through its representation by TURHAN MÜHENDİSLİK.  

Necmettin Çakacıaslan, who has been an agent for the company, will play a crucial role in supporting Felix Schoeller during the establishment of the new Competence Center. 

Felix Schoeller, founded in 1895, operates 17 locations across ten countries.  

The family-owned business offers a diverse range of paper products, including flexible paper composites for packaging and decor papers for the furniture and wood-based panel industries, as well as photographic and digital printing papers. 

Felix Schoeller Décor Segment head Tim Gutendorf said: “We are using this local presence to provide even more focused support to our customers in the region and assist them with all matters related to our solutions.”
