How well versed do you think top executives at consumer packaged goods companies are on packaging and sustainability issues? I would hope the answer would be “quite well” since packaging is one of the most visible expressions of a company’s sustainability stance.
But I’ll find out in a couple weeks at the Consumer Goods Forum’s Global Summit. Scheduled for June 11-14, the event is billed as “the landmark annual forum for industry leaders to come together and discuss strategies to integrate sustainability with profitability to meet both immediate and long-term challenges.”
This year’s theme is “Empowering Businesses to Deliver a Better Tomorrow.” Through presentations and networking, the Consumer Goods Forum wants “to help catalyze the positive changes that people, planet, and business urgently need.”
Executives from CPG companies, retailers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and investment bankers will share their insights on a range of topics. For example:
• “The Challenged Consumer – Shifting Values & Behaviors”
• “The Journey to Net Zero”
• “Sustainable Growth: Unveiling Shareholders’ True Expectations”
In addition to sitting in on the sessions and networking events, I’ve requested one-on-one interviews with many executives who will be there. What questions do you want me to ask them? Submit your questions anonymously through this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VCSRKQ6
I’ll report back after the Global Summit.
