Heinz Wants You To Dip Your Chips In Ketchup


When it comes to French fries, no one bats an eye at eating them with ketchup. Deep-fried strips of potato with tangy and sweet ketchup are a perfect pairing, with the spud’s starchiness complementing the condiment’s vinegar and tomato duo.

But start dipping your potato chips in ketchup, and you might get a few raised eyebrows. But we dip potato chips in all sorts of other sauces, condiments, and concoctions, and if French fries go so nicely with ketchup, why not potato chips? Both chips and fries are made from potatoes and are deep-fried, right?
