The 2025 Australasian Packaging Conference, organized by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), concludes today at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth in New South Wales.
This biennial event, held on May 6–7, brought together over 85 speakers from 20 countries, offering a comprehensive program under the theme “Reimagine Packaging Design.”
Attendees from across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia participated in plenary sessions, panel discussions, and breakout sessions.
Key topics included strategies to meet the 2025 National Packaging Targets, preparation for the incoming National Packaging Design Standards, and advancements in sustainable packaging materials.
A highlight of the conference was the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards held on May 6.
These awards recognize significant contributions to packaging innovation and design in the region and serve as the exclusive pathway for Australia and New Zealand entries into the WorldStar Packaging Awards.
The conference also offered attendees the opportunity to earn Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) points, supporting ongoing professional development in the industry.
