Arca Continental Opens New Distribution Center in Jalisco

With an investment of 1.4 billion pesos, Arca Continental, one of the world’s leading Coca-Cola bottlers, has opened its new distribution center in Tonalá, Jalisco, now the largest of its kind in the company’s global network. This project is part of the company’s strategy for sustainable growth and logistical expansion in Mexico’s western region.

The new facility will manage distribution services for over 40,000 customers across Tonalá, Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco, and El Salto, and is expected to create up to 1,200 direct and indirect jobs, thereby strengthening Arca Continental’s operational presence in the eastern part of Guadalajara’s metropolitan area.

Covering 14,200 sq. meters, the distribution center has a storage capacity of 1.25 billion physical cases and over 40,000 pallets and operates 245 distribution routes serving all sales channels. It is notable for its sustainable infrastructure, including rainwater collection systems, water treatment, and a total of 580 solar panels covering an area of 1,000 sq. meters. These panels will generate 300 KWH of clean energy, preventing approximately 534 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.

The opening ceremony event was led by Pablo Lemus, Governor of Jalisco, Sergio Chávez, Mayor of Tonalá, along with other state cabinet officials, federal and state legislators, and municipal authorities.

Jorge H. Santos, Chairman of the Board of Arca Continental, emphasized: “The distribution center of Tonalá reflects who we are—a continually growing company that generates and shares value. At Arca Continental, we reaffirm our commitment to the communities we serve through a sustainable business model that creates value for everyone involved.”

With this new facility opening, Arca Continental reinforces its leadership in the beverage industry in Mexico, operating under a sustainable, profitable, and forward-thinking business model that makes a positive impact in every region where it operates.
