Wrestling is having a bona fide moment. While it might not be the industry-shifting revolution that was the Attitude Era and its Monday Night Wars during the late 90s, the world of professional wrestling is having a renaissance in the squared circle.
Not only has WWE landed on Netflix on a $5 billion deal, but John Cena’s heel turn and farewell retirement tour has been much-watch TV, and AEW’s promotion has absolutely kept up with the big kids. Wrasslin’ certainly didn’t go away, but its resurgence can be attributed to some primo storytelling and top-shelf talent.
