The collaboration is led by Barney Smith, one of Nupak’s owners, who will be responsible for aligning the company’s product range with the specific requirements of grassroots football organisations.

Smith stated: “[We are] bringing our locally-owned, quality food packaging to the heart of the football community.  Together, we’re making game days better with top-notch, affordable food and drink packaging solutions from a business that loves football as much as you do.”

Clubs will be offered offers, promotional options and updates as the tie-up expands.

In its formal announcement, Football South Australia said the organisation would work alongside Nupak to ensure clubs can access “genuine savings, improved access to quality products and tangible commercial benefits”.

Football SA CEO Michael Carter added: “This partnership with Nupak reinforces our commitment to providing meaningful, cost-saving opportunities for clubs right across the state.

“It is another step forward in our plan to aggregate purchasing, reduce costs, and support the football network in a practical and impactful way. We are delighted to welcome Nupak — and Barney — into the Football SA family.”

Carter welcomed the alliance, pointing to its alignment with the organisation’s wider commercial plan.
