Global Pouch Forum: Innovative Flexible Packaging Takes the Spotlight

Global Pouch Forum is once again on the horizon. Taking place May 27-29 in Clearwater Beach, Florida, Global Pouch Forum is the go-to annual event for those who develop, supply, buy, or recommend pouches, films, and the machinery that powers them.

Attendees will have the opportunity to: learn about current and emerging innovations in the flexible packaging market; network with industry leaders; and discover new opportunities for the use of pouch packaging across many categories of consumer-packaged goods (CPGs).

Packaging Innovation

Taking the stage for an Innovation Spotlight will be Jim Pease of Sun Centre USA and Chuck Christopher of All State Printing.

Sun Centre’s POUCH3™ Cuboid Packaging Format recently earned the Highest Achievement Award at the Flexible Packaging Association’s Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards.

In announcing the award, FPA described the POUCH3™ Cuboid as “a breakthrough in flexible packaging. Its headspace-free, box-like design delivers a truly full pouch while using up to 30% less material than flat-bottom or stand-up pouches.”

FPA added: “Made from recyclable LDPE, POUCH3™ supports circular-economy goals with a single-web structure that simplifies production. Fully customizable with handles, zippers, Velcro®, or MagneClose, it can be made in any size or shape. Stackable for efficient carton packing, retail display, expanded branding, and secondary messaging, POUCH3™ reduces waste without compromising performance.”

Of course, Packaging Strategies and Global Pouch Forum also are looking forward to presenting AeroFlexx with this year’s Steve Fairfield Memorial Award for Flexible Packaging Innovation. Sponsored by Skjodt-Barrett Foods, the award annually honors a top innovation or innovator in flexible packaging.

AeroFlexx challenges CPG brand owners to reimagine the possibilities for liquid products, offering one flexible package that replaces the traditional bottle, closure, and label. AeroFlexx combines a bottle’s structural integrity with the benefits of flexible packaging, achieving significant sustainability outcomes for CPG brands and the planet while solving some of the limitations of conventional packaging.
